Thornton

Thornton is a suburb in the City of Maitland, about 127 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Glenwood Drive and Sandringham Avenue serve a growing suburban and employment area bisected by the New England Highway. Thornton railway station connects the suburb with Newcastle, Maitland and the wider Hunter region.

Thornton is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories suited to the employment areas around the highway, railway and industrial estate. Beresfield, Black Hill and East Maitland are useful nearby comparisons.
