Singleton

Singleton is a Hunter Valley town in Singleton Council, about 145 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. John Street is a town-centre trading street near Singleton railway station, at the southern end of the centre. The town sits on the Hunter River and serves coal mining, electricity generation, light industry, vineyards, horse breeding and cattle production.

Singleton has a mixed commercial market, with warehouses and factories, shopfronts, and medical or consulting suites serving a regional economy and surrounding industries. Cessnock, Rutherford and Kurri Kurri are nearby comparisons.
