Salamander Bay

Salamander Bay is a Port Stephens suburb in the Hunter Region of New South Wales. Soldiers Point Road is the main local commercial road, with Central Avenue forming a secondary activity centre. The suburb is mainly residential and contains a large shopping centre, Tomaree High School, a TAFE facility and the Port Stephens campus of St Philip's Christian College.

Salamander Bay is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories supported by medical or consulting suites and office suites and floors. The commercial stock serves a broad residential and regional catchment around the shopping centre and main roads. Taylors Beach, Nelson Bay and Raymond Terrace are useful neighbouring comparisons.
