Riverwood is a southern Sydney suburb in the City of Canterbury-Bankstown, about 17 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Belmore Road is the main commercial road, with Riverwood railway station on the East Hills line and the M5 South Western Motorway crossing the suburb.

Riverwood is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories supported by office suites and floors and medical or consulting suites around the established local centre. Punchbowl, Padstow and Peakhurst provide nearby comparisons.
