Port Melbourne is an inner-city suburb in the Cities of Melbourne and Port Phillip, about 4 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Bay Street is the historic commercial centre, while Lorimer Street forms part of the broader employment area around the Yarra River and Hobsons Bay. The suburb was once an industrial port and now includes Fishermans Bend, Garden City and Beacon Cove.
