Oakey

Oakey is a rural town in the Toowoomba Region, about 129 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Bridge Street is the town's main commercial street, with Campbell Street forming part of the central grid. Oakey sits on the Darling Downs, is bypassed by the Warrego Highway and is served by the Western railway line and Oakey Airport.

Oakey is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories supporting livestock, grain, transport and agricultural services. The town also services mining-related activity in the surrounding district. Wellcamp, Charlton and Torrington are useful nearby comparisons.
