Northcote is an inner north-eastern Melbourne suburb in the City of Darebin, about 6 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. High Street is the principal trading strip through the suburb, with Separation Street providing a secondary local commercial route in an established inner-suburban setting.

Northcote is a mixed commercial market, with shopfronts, office suites and floors, and warehouses and factories serving a diverse local business base. Nearby commercial areas include Thornbury, Fairfield and Fitzroy North.
