North Toowoomba

North Toowoomba is a suburban locality directly north of Toowoomba in the Toowoomba Region, about 106 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Hume Street is a local commercial street, with Mort Street providing another part of the northern city setting. The New England Highway follows Ruthven Street into the locality, while the Main Line railway passes through it and the former Downs Co-operative Dairy factory remains a heritage-listed landmark.

North Toowoomba is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories alongside medical or consulting suites in a locality adjoining the Toowoomba city centre. Toowoomba, Toowoomba City and East Toowoomba are the closest commercial comparisons.
