Newtown is an inner western suburb of Geelong in the City of Greater Geelong, about 67 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Riversdale Road and Newcastle Street provide local commercial access through a primarily residential suburb on one of Geelong's higher points, with a long history as part of the former Newtown and Chilwell municipality.
