Newport is a Northern Beaches suburb in the Northern Beaches Council area, about 26 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Barrenjoey Road is the main road through the peninsula, connecting a centre of cafes, restaurants and local services between the Pacific Ocean and Pittwater, where marinas and small shipyards serve pleasure craft.
