Mount Hawthorn is an inner northern Perth suburb in the City of Vincent, about 4 kilometres from the Perth CBD. Scarborough Beach Road and Oxford Street form a local commercial centre with cafes, bars, restaurants and established suburban services. The area has a long urban history dating from the late nineteenth-century Hawthorn Estate, with Axford Park and Anzac Cottage among its heritage associations.
