Mortdale is a southern Sydney suburb in the City of Hurstville, about 17 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Morts Road is the main shopping strip near Mortdale station, while Boundary Road carries the suburb's commercial and industrial development. Mortdale station is on the Illawarra railway line, with regular connections into the city.

Mortdale is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories concentrated around the established employment areas. The surrounding leasing market includes Peakhurst, Penshurst and Beverly Hills.
