Macquarie is a residential suburb in Canberra's Belconnen district, about 6 kilometres from the Canberra CBD. Lawry Place is the local commercial street within a suburban setting bounded by Belconnen Way, Bindubi Street, Redfern Street and Coulter Drive. ACTION bus route 32 connects the suburb with Belconnen Town Centre and Civic.
