Karratha

Karratha is a city in the Pilbara adjoining the port of Dampier. Sharpe Avenue and Hedland Place form part of the city centre, with Exploration Drive serving the broader employment area. Karratha is laid out on flat land beside Nickol Bay, with tidal salt flats and mangroves separating the city from the sea. It was established to support iron ore, petroleum and liquefied natural gas operations.
