Inverell

Inverell is a large regional town on the Macintyre River in northern New South Wales and the centre of Inverell Shire. Byron Street and Sweaney Street form part of the central commercial grid, with the town located on the Gwydir Highway on the western slopes of the Northern Tablelands. Heritage buildings include the Inverell Shire Council Building and the Inverell Post Office.

Inverell is a regional city centre, with shopfronts, office suites and floors, and warehouses and factories serving a broad agricultural, processing and regional service economy. Armidale is the nearby commercial comparison.
