Hindmarsh is an inner Adelaide suburb in Charles Sturt, about 4 kilometres from the Adelaide CBD. Port Road is the main commercial road, linking the suburb with the city and passing heritage-listed buildings, while rail lines and the River Torrens define its edges.

Hindmarsh is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories supported by office suites and floors close to major roads, rail and the city centre. Thebarton, Welland and Torrensville are nearby markets.
