Emerald

Emerald is a town and locality in the Central Highlands Region. Glasson Street is the main town-centre street, with the town serving as a regional service centre on the Nogoa River and at the junction of the Capricorn and Gregory highways. Emerald developed as a railway transport hub and remains closely tied to surrounding agricultural and mining industries.

Emerald has an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories alongside office suites and floors supporting the region's agricultural, mining and service economy.
