Echuca

Echuca is a regional town and the administrative centre of the Shire of Campaspe. Hare Street is the principal trading street, linking the town centre with the historic river port on the Murray River. Echuca is adjacent to Moama across the river and is served by V/Line rail, local buses and the Echuca-Moama road crossings.

Echuca has a mixed commercial market, with shopfronts in the town's trading centre and warehouses and factories supporting its regional service, agricultural and tourism economy. The river port and heritage setting give the commercial centre a distinct visitor and local-service role. Kyabram, Tatura and Mooroopna are nearby comparisons.
