Eastlakes is a suburb in Bayside Council, about 6 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Evans Avenue is the commercial centre, anchored by the Eastlakes shopping centre and set beside predominantly residential areas, golf course land and Botany Dams. Mascot railway station and Juniors Kingsford light rail stop are the nearest public transport connections.

Eastlakes is a neighbourhood trading strip, with shopfronts forming the local retail core and office suites and floors or warehouses and factories providing secondary commercial options. The market is centred on everyday local trade rather than a broad employment district. Rosebery, Beaconsfield and Zetland are nearby comparisons.
