Charlton is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, about 116 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Moorebank Road and Piedmont Street sit within a locality shaped by the Warrego Highway and Toowoomba Bypass, with Nass Road providing another local connection. The Western railway line marks the northern boundary and the locality includes the higher peaks of Gowrie Mountain.
