Carrington

Carrington is an inner Newcastle suburb in the City of Newcastle, about 119 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Darling Street is the main local commercial street, with Elizabeth Street and Fitzroy Street supporting the surrounding grid. The suburb has a strong heritage character, including the Carrington Pump House, Seven Seas Hotel and former council chambers.

Carrington is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories, medical or consulting suites and office suites and floors in a compact inner-city setting. Wickham, Islington and Newcastle West provide nearby comparisons.
