Carlton is a southern Sydney suburb in Georges River, about 15 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Planthurst Road is a local commercial street, while the suburb is also served by Carlton railway station on the Illawarra railway line. The Princes Highway runs through Carlton as a major southern Sydney road.
