Burdell is a north-western Townsville suburb in the City of Townsville. Market Street is a neighbourhood trading road, with North Shore Boulevard forming the broader suburban spine. Housing occupies the southern part of the suburb, while grazing land, marshland and unused areas extend across the northern and western sections. Nightjar railway station is within the suburb on the North Coast railway line.
