Brisbane City is the Brisbane CBD, in the City of Brisbane, on a bend of the Brisbane River. The commercial core is the city grid around Queen Street Mall, with office and retail floors on Queen, Adelaide, Edward, Creek and George Streets. Central station and the busway sit on the same grid.

This is a capital-city floorplate market, not a neighbourhood strip or an industrial estate. Premises advertised for lease tend to be offices, medical or consulting suites, and shopfronts around the mall and river. Neighbouring published leasing markets include Fortitude Valley, South Brisbane and Spring Hill.
