Box Hill South

Box Hill South is an eastern Melbourne suburb in the City of Whitehorse, about 14 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Middleborough Road is the principal commercial road, with smaller strip centres at Canterbury Road and Station Street, Elgar Road and Riversdale Road, and Middleborough Road and Mirabella Crescent. The suburb is served by buses and by tram route 70 at Wattle Park on its western boundary.

Box Hill South is a mixed commercial market, with medical or consulting suites and shopfronts forming the main permitted stock. The smaller strip centres provide local services within a predominantly residential suburb without a major shopping centre. Box Hill, Mont Albert and Surrey Hills are useful comparisons.
