Bongaree

Bongaree is a suburb of Bribie Island in the City of Moreton Bay, about 46 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Armitage Street is the principal local trading street, with Cotterill Avenue and First Avenue serving the western side of the island beside the Pumicestone Passage. The Bribie Island Bridge links Bongaree with the mainland, and Buckleys Hole Conservation Park occupies the southern part of the locality.

Bongaree is an industrial and distribution precinct, with warehouses and factories as the permitted commercial stock. Its island setting and bridge connection give the area a distinct local catchment for practical business uses. Bellara, Woorim and Redcliffe are useful comparisons.
