Belmont is a Lake Macquarie suburb on the eastern side of the lake, about 102 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Pacific Highway is the main commercial road through the suburb, which occupies a sandy peninsula between Lake Macquarie and the Tasman Sea. Belmont Airport is a local aviation landmark, although scheduled passenger services have ceased.
