Ascot is a narrow riverside suburb in the City of Belmont, about 6 kilometres from the Perth CBD. Great Eastern Highway is the principal commercial road along the suburb's western side. The suburb stretches for about five kilometres along the southern bank of the Swan River and is named after Ascot Racecourse, which lies within its boundaries.
