Artarmon is a lower North Shore suburb in the City of Willoughby, about 6 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. Hampden Road is a shopping street beside Artarmon railway station, while Whiting Street and Dickson Avenue support the suburb's wider commercial and industrial areas. High-rise buildings sit west of the railway line, houses lie to the east, and an industrial area occupies land south of the Gore Hill Freeway.
