Alexandria

Alexandria is an inner southern suburb in the City of Sydney, about 5 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. O'Riordan Street and Bourke Road are major commercial roads within a largely industrial suburb, with Botany Road forming its eastern edge. The area includes the Alexandra Canal and a landing point for the Southern Cross submarine telecommunications cable, while railway access is available nearby at Green Square and other surrounding stations.

Alexandria is an industrial and distribution precinct with warehouses and factories, supported by office suites and floors and medical or consulting suites. Its commercial fabric reflects the conversion of former terraced-house areas to light industrial use and warehousing. Beaconsfield, Rosebery and Zetland are nearby comparison markets.
